DIPSTOR is experienced in Evolutionary Design, DIPSTOR’s own design concept following a circular approach where the iterative choice of the best product characteristics generates its next development phase and possibilities for further redesign, refinement, or reuse of a product. As DIPSTOR works constantly in the development and implementation of circular concepts/services by exploring and implementing re-use, including products’ and users’ involvement in product development, consumption, and refinement, is playing a key role in CAROUSEL project in setting up the upcycling community. The challenge for DIPSTOR is to translate its experience and know-how to local business ecosystems willing to adopt circularity.

Solina DIPSTOR® boxes and hanging shelves Coccodrillo DIPSTOR® are DIPSTOR's upcycled circular products. They are made from an old fence that has been cut into small pieces and prepared to be burned in a furnace, and from old discarded wooden floor and wall panels. Instead to be burned in a fireplace, the old dry spruce and black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) wood found its place in storage boxes. When there are more of them placed side by side, they can form a whole bookcase. Likewise, instead of ending up in a rubbish dump during the renovation of the flat, this wood has been given a new chance for life in the bathroom, the office and the kitchen... Perfect upcycling. No glues just reused wood and a rope.
